Apexi Power Intake

Done a search and got a bit confused due to peoples different intake sizes.
My car is standard apart from stage 2 and a few cosmetics.
I think I need the 65mm version of the universal filter, as per http://www.amber-per...24759&xSec=8190
If someone could let me know so I can order it.
Thanks
Richie

I fitted something like this to my old Z3 3.0. The acceleration was completely unaffected, in fact, all it did was drag oil onto my MAF sensor and stop it working properly!
Do they make any difference on a VXT?

The main difference is the noise and if you can cope with it.I fitted something like this to my old Z3 3.0. The acceleration was completely unaffected, in fact, all it did was drag oil onto my MAF sensor and stop it working properly!

The ooooooooooooooooosh noise would be good if it could be turned down once in a while!
I think my last filter cost about 4 quid so I think I'll be staying standard. Horses for courses I suppose.

If i drove it everyday it would definitely be gone.

Good God - £110 for an air filter!!! Anyone tested one against a modified oem unit to see what (if any) difference it makes?
The Power Intake is basically maintenance free. Filter replacement, when necessary, can be done at a very low cost.
Hmmm - what's so special about this filter that means it doesn't need replacing - do you take it out and hoover it or something?

I have one fitted. I can't see there is anything at all magic about it that means it lives indefinately, and not sure if it can be cleaned! I have assumed that I'll need to replace it at reasonable intervals.
