Having tantalised me with a "similar" kit, my helpful Vaux Dealer is quoting delivery in October.
Anyone got one I can purchase (or even lend until the ordered one arrives)?

Have you tried here? http://www.autovaux....al.aspx?tabid=2, The next isn't on line but there's always other ways; it's an Aladdin's cave for cars, they have been known to find comparable parts. http://www.autovaux....al.aspx?tabid=2
Anything is better than waiting.

Do you know something I don't?

Left drive shaft cv?
If so, a quick fix is the Astra H 1.7CDI let drive shaft. Straight swap.
Just make sure you get one including the locking nut, as that differs from the vx.

I've been running mine for over a year now, including trackdays (with 888)
(trick does not apply for the right drive shaft. Short left one only)

Germany has no more stock of this item and it's on 'back order' with no ETA. Contacted several dealers for it.

You could try Elise_P for a VX drive shaft with boots on. It's easier than changing a boot.

Really?
I'll look at that.
Thank you.
Thanks to everyone who has been kind enough to respond.

That's not good news that Germany are out of stock. I doubt these will ever see a production run again.

No more CV boots? I'm going to have to change my ride height! That's not good news that Germany are out of stock. I doubt these will ever see a production run again.

That's the concern I was pointing to in my earlier post and why I suggested contacting Vaux Customer Services to get assurance that there is a production run that will satisfy the promised Oct delivery date. It was only when I pushed them on the reason for keep asking me to reorder once a delivery date had passed on the part I was after that they admitted "there was a problem with supply which may not be resolved"That's not good news that Germany are out of stock. I doubt these will ever see a production run again.

Lol! I thought elise p was a trendy web shorthand for eliseparts! Surely a 2nd hand unit's boot will be at least 7 years old and likely to let go soon? I guess as a quick fix.... hmmmm.I think he meant a secondhand one from ElizP and not a brand new one.

Titting Jesus. I can't believe for one second that Vauxhall had to design new CV boots for the VX given the size of their parts department. I'm sure there will be an Astra/Zafira running the same CV boots.

As Smiley said the Astra H 1.7CDI uses the same boot (left side only). Anyone know or can check if this is another part number?
