No, no no. The complete shaft (with locking nut) is compatible. You can't use just the cv from it.

Is that gospel, then? a complete shaft from a 1.7 Astra (Is H the 2007 model year) is a straight replacement on the left side?
I think I can get one of them. Solves the boot issue going forward too, I think.

As said before, i am running this myself (almost a year now, and done about 5 trackdays with 888's on it).
Just make sure you get one including the locking nutt, as it differs, and it has no hole for the linchpin.
My post on the previous page still has 5 working links to the correct model and all include the nutt.

I guess I'm lucky.
replaced the inner boot on the left side approx. 4-5 weeks ago.
Must have had one of the latest boots :-)

For future search users, the astra shaft of the van does not fit, asit uses the M32 box, and not the F23.
