So you are a trader then?

Do you have any details of the cars that you can send to me or a link?

And if you want a lightweight turbo buy a VXR220... basically a turbo with loads of good bits and went on a diet ;) I have mine for sale and it has stage 2, and some even lighter weight bits than normal... VXR220 no 20 in the for sale section.

Oh and it should hold its value too thumbsup

Either the S1 due to its light weight, not servo for a real driving experience, or a VX n/a supercharged. (I'm a turbo owner) but for your needs with the track work the NA would be better and more pure along with 250 which would more than make up for the extra writ compared o an S1 - although you wouldn't get as quite good turn in and direction change compared to the lighter S1.

If you were seriously looking at lotus I would get saving as you'll need 13k and up for a 111s or 11-12 would get you a nice sport tourer. 122 bhp similar performance to na vx Thanks to lower weight and gearing.

S1 111s are not often for sale due to their not being as many made, however they are examples just over £10k and quite a few 160 versions for sale at the moment. Obviously if you want showroom condition then you have to pay.

There are currently a few S1's at low money. Probably not the best examples, but you get what you pay for.

Like in my original post i have basically put the VX220 into the options list with a Lotus Elise.

I managed to see a few Elise's earlier at a local car/bike meet. There was half a dozen S2's and only 1 S1. I definitely prefer the look of the S1.

I was sort of hoping that there was a VX220 there. But no luck. I can not even remember if i have ever seen a VX22o in the flesh. For all i know i may not even like the look of them close up?

However you do seem to get a lot more for your money and they are definitely rarer. And there are many options for upgrades at a later date.

Still for sale, had interest in lots of parts but can't be arsed breaking it.  If anyone bothered to call they'd find I am happy to let it go for very little!   OP - buy a race Saxo, trailer and a tow car.  I can help with the first two.

What ya selling?

I may take you up on that. The act/bike meet i went to earlier was between Leicester and Melton, a place called Ashby Folville. Great place to take the kids or the car.

What ya selling?

Stockhatch / Saxmax spec Saxo race car + BJ trailer and spares package.

Have it up for less than the breaking value but only genuine interest has been in wheels/tyres and for £1500 of parts off the car.

Would do a very favourable deal on the whole package as don't really have time or desire to break it!

For the OP, do go and have a proper look at an S1 but if you ever want to really use the car, a VX or S2 is arguably a more useable package (better roof, servo brakes, ABS on some, more reliable engine etc).

If you are looking at an S1 i'd say a 135 would be of more interest than the 111s.

Even if you get a basic S1 then it's easy to chuck a VVC in there if / when your engine goes pop.

One thing I would say is that like the Europa, they don't photograph anywhere near as well as they look in the flesh. Could be a pleasant surprise.

I'm happy to take you out in mine if you like? Mine is a stage 3 turbo, so it is pretty quick. Might be enough to persuede you that a turbo definitely isn't the right option, or definitely is. I'm in Derby, and I see you are only in Loughbrough.

I have been meaning to get to one of these meets for some time and I always fail miserably at getting there.

I may be about at the weekend if you would like to view, pax ride in an Na. ;) (induction kit, vse exhaust and rev limiter increased) The exhaust is the most sought after one for an NA. Sounds epic.

I am Thurmaston side of Leicester if you would like to view or I could come to Loughborough to you.
