Ok Folks, as some may have seen, development of my “stone guard kits” has ground to a halt (threads as follows):

Forum Non Members: http://www.vx220.org...y-stone-guards/
Forum Members: http://www.vx220.org...tail-group-buy/

I’ve taken aboard all comments & suggestions... & whilst my vinyl guy is VERY good (with state of the art tech as his disposal) he has little “creative grasp” (contours, shape & form etc)... & I'm no computer wizard.... So I really need some help generating some “knock out” CAD templates... So resulting laser cut guards are identical time-after-time (my paper templates work but there is no batch consistency).

I still have great faith in the idea & am confident I can put out a cheap (but high quality) product to all VX’ers. If anyone is able to help on the CAD side of things please drop me a line. It’s not rocket science & I’ll “cut you in” on resulting revenue streams.

Cheers – Ben.

Get them scanned, it'll be pretty easy to convert them after that?

TBH it'll be easier still to place them on graph paper and measure out the points into a program like draftsight.

Cheers Fez.... I'll take a look at Draftsight... I'm a Photoshop pro though & all this 3d rendering CAD carry on is a bit beyond me!

A collegue at work found all the templates for the VX online when I was talking to him about some vinyl work. I'm sure I still have a copy at work and will have a look tomorrow. He used to do vinyl work as a side line so had all the vinyl cutters etc. Might have been the Ventureshield templates mentioned above.

ps I work with CAD so could help.

Thanks AF... can you get hold of any existing "templates". My paper templates are STILL the wrong shape & now knackered! If I mail you some "designs" (photoshop composites) can you work up CAD from scratch?

Right.... This all fell-by-the-wayside last year (+ got a wee bit let down with development)... I'm ready to pick up the project again... Anyone up for cutting some patterns & doing a bit of CaD?
