I might have said this before, but looking at the two dyno printouts from car #15 and #16 , on the maha dyno. But what internal losses are you using?   A completely standard vxt we had on the rollers with my new software made 225 at the wheels, with some more options to improve further.   I think for purposes of clear data, we should only work with at the wheel figures.

don't look too much to the wbeel loss on that Maha dyno. It's a double roller what creates pretty extreme losses on a vx, but the roll-out measurements make it quite accurate. Bog standard cars on that make close to the stock engine power. My standard CS stage 2 SC made there 249.8... ;-)

Is there any news on other STOCK B207's oil consumption? (ie engine not opened, just head of max)

So far:

- Graeme = ? - Smiley 335hp = Only oil it spits out ends up in catch tank - ufods = ? - Martin S = High oil consumption. Caused by gazed bores. Bedding in?   - Kieran = ? - Ultimate 350hp = High oil consumption. Cause unknown

You can take me off this list.

I have forged pistons, but stock rods, so more than just head off.

Had a bit of a issue after taking exhaust off and repacking and putting it back on
( nothing to do with exhaust )
When exhaust was put back on and I reved the car I got one almighty rattle from spark plug/ coil pack area
Checked the plugs and they were black as the ace of spades
Before I took the back box off I know the plugs looked like this as I checked them

Posted Image

So I put the old coil pack on and issue went away
Which was a relief
Anyway as is b207 users modify the coil pack I can't really send it away to be checked ( it's only 3 weeks old )
I think the issue could be down to water damage as we had rather heavy rain and possibly got to the coil pack as car was uncovered and only under a car port area

So my question is can I do anything to try and get the coil pack working again or is it knackered ??

I will check the spring length tomorrow incase it's that

Also has anyone else had a similar rattle sound from coil pack ?

No. As a guess you could just swap the ecu from the old coilpack to the new.

See what happens.

My hopes are that the springs have compressed and the pack is vibrating on the Ally cover plate Will take that of tomoz and hold it down while wife revs the car The sound was very mechanical sounding Which I thought the worse
