Easy tiger! I looked at about 30 secs of your footage and it looks like you're fighting with a wheel wobble when it loads up?

Short video montage of this seasons racing including a sad ending at Snetterton when we were taken out by an erratic Fiesta. Next race Snetterton on Saturday 25th October.

We raced at Snetterton 300 on Saturday. We got third on the grid after a greasy qualifying session. I started and managed to get into P1 by the first corner and then built a 6 second lead after 3 or 4 laps. Unfortunately I then lost that lead in two laps and got overtaken by 4 cars before going in for the driver change. Not sure why but I completely lost concentration in the last two laps, missing apexes and had four wheels off once. It was a weird feeling and I'm not sure why it happened. I had been quite ill ten days before and had just come off antibiotcs perhaps it was that or perhaps I hadnt drunk enough, I dont know.

Jez then went out and put in some good times to get us back into 4th which is where we finished with a second in class. Not a disaster but could have been better if I hadnt cocked it up. Thanks for Goose and Robin for coming along to support.

Next (and last) race is a double header at Brands Hatch on 22nd/23rd November where we will be racing in Trackday Trophy in class B on the Saturday and then on the Sunday in Team Trophy we will be taking out all of the ballast and will run in class A with the big boys to see if we can become the first car to win a trophy in three different classes in the series.

In the recent Team Trophy race at Cadwell there was an incident where a Porsche 968 was constantly weaving and blocking a Renault Clio. It finished when the Porsche driver deliberately forced the Clio into the end of the pit wall. The Porsche driver was given 6 points on his licence and excluded from the race. IMO he should have received a lengthy ban. If it had happened to me in the VX I would probably have been seriously injured or worse.

Good video and pretty conclusive with the other in car cameras. He was certainly lucky and the porsche driver is definitely a prize cock.

That's terrible. Surprised the penalty wasn't more severe (could the police get involved?). Pleased the driver was ok. Surprisingly few injuries after such a massive shunt. On the safety front, are airbags not allowed in motorsport or is it just not effective given the harnesses?

I thought deliberate blocking wasn't allowed, shouldn't that have been picked up the race officials and perhaps that horrendous incident could have been avoided?

Will the porsche be at the next race then? I imagine it'll be a bit quiet round his garage.

Probably at Brands on the 22/23 Nov when we are racing. He only got excluded from that race. Not sure he will have the brass neck to compete so soon after but if he does I'm sure quite a few people will "warn him off"
