Has anybody got an account? I really dont want to pay the £50 to register if I may never buy a car. If someone does and I win on their account I'm happy to pay beers/money for the trouble.

Don't think it'll be a cost effective way to get a supercharger, there's really nothing else of value on that car. So unless you can get the whole car for about £400 there's no point.

Saw tirboluca looking at the thread last night so I dont think hes keen. Theres the interior, wishbones, suspension, wheels, hubs, calipers, chassis has a scrap value, wiring. Ecu has the right map.

What car are we talking about? The yellow one?

If so I agree with Techie. And I'd not be 100% convinced about all the other parts you've listed either Mark.

Eye, all the parts wont be perfect but i would say alot will be. I missed tyres off the list, thats atleast abother 100. Current aluminium scrap is £550 per ton. Copper from the wiring would just go into my normal wiring pile for stripping. Will check with the previous owner about the map then. He still has the keys also. But if no-one has an account then this is a no-goer as I'm not paying £50 to maybe not buy it if the price goes too high.

£550 x 0.07Te (~70kg aluminium chassis) = £38.50 :P

Might be worth checking with Courtenay first, to see if they've ever seen that car/ECU before. At least if you're planning to rock up there one day to get the base map refined.

I'm just not seeing it. It's got an MMG map which is clearly a bodge and is essentially the CS base map with the rev limited lifted. All you'll get of use is the SC, inlet manifold and TB. The engine isn't worth anything, wishbones, drive shafts and gearbox are likely damaged.

It comes down to what it sells for though. Ive made more than £500 stripping little bits off mine and thats hardly anything. Those chassis really obly weigh 70kg? How are the vxts so damn heavy!?

 chassis has a scrap value

you would be shocked how little you will get, it's classed as 'dirty alloy' not 'clean alloy', so £100 would be about it

But it all counts depends how much it sells for. Chassis £100 Seats £150 Steering wheel £75 Tyres, if not wheels aswell £100 Thats over £400 there before you touch anything else.

the remains of the sc vx are worth £1k if you want the sc parts - which are worth that on their own, all the rest is profit

brake calipers would fetch £200, driveshafts £50, hubs £50 and any straight wishbones £30-£50

Precisely, itll all add up. Interior trims, door cards, dash, stereo, windscreen. The engine itself, does it work? If not what's salvageable? Head, crank, starter, alternator. Gearbox work? I think they are gaz golds that are on their too. If they are straight. I have the space and time to store bits too.

it's really not worth paying more than £1500 for it, it's just not worth the hassle after that price

£1500 was exactly the very top end I had in my head. But if I can't find anyone with an account I won't be doing it anyway. To late to post the stuff of to register now myself.

What makes you say it'd be a bodge?
