OK one job I've not yet done on my VX is replace the Alternator I've a 100 amp to install in place of current failing 120 amp. How easy is this job? Is there a how to anywhere?

Easy enough, under tray off and wheel and arch liner off, disconnect the battery , remove the belt, remove the wires , only 3 bolts hold the alt onto the engine :-)

Only if you break down on the Highland Hoon Oh and make sure you've got plenty of Scotch in !!!

lol I've done most jobs on the VX steering rack was supposed to apita but didn't find it that hard. Always have a Talisker in the house so covered there.

Thanks for the £300 reminder Nelly But it was an awesome run to catch you all up. Actually the longest job when I removed mine was the wheel arch liner, two of the screws Came out no problem

if it is SC related you might need to modify the 100A alt first?

Not SC yet but will need to do the mod at some point.

Before I start this can someone help me with what I need to do with regards to the mod required for the alternator to fit with super charger?
