I have 2 fault codes that are always present even before I took the engine out. P0462 - Tank Level sensor low input U2108 - Can-Bus No Communication ABS/TC The dash is displaying the fuel level though but on opcom it say 0v and 8L for the fuel level sensor. The engine managent light isnt always on but when it comes on no extra codes appear! Is this possibly a different ecu than the car should have in? The second issue I have is that I can start the car and it'll run perfect, cold/hot/whenever. I'll turn it off then start it again and the damn thing won't idle. Hunts a bit then drops so low it cuts out. I'm not really sure if it did this before but is now even more highlighted now it has a lightened fly and no balancer shafts. If I just up the revs it stays going though and is fine when driving.

How long since you had engine out and done mods, The ECU should compensate after a short time, It might be still trying to learn the new engine configuration

The abs and TC code might indicate the ECU is from a different car, I think there is somone else who has recently changed ECU with these codes,

Would of thought ECU would of re calibrated it self after the mods and mileage covered, Unless all codes need clearing before it attempts to re calibrate Or maybe you have a faulty sensor Are you still NA

Yeah he had that second code and said he could turn it off in the variant part of opcom. Will have a look at that later. The battery was off so should of been cleared once the new engine was in. The codes won't clear now though as they are present codes and come straight back!

Might be putting a wanted add up for a vx ECU Or find somone who will be going Dutch software and swap ecus, as there's will be flashed anyway But you would have to have keys programmed etc

Yeah not a bad idea. I could atleast do with trying someone else's ecu to see if it is just that. Or if I win some money I could get the dutch software myself and see what its like on an NA haha.

Just nipped back to the workshop. The VIN that the opcom says and the vx VIN are different so im guessing it is a random ecu thats in there then. So, if someone has a spare NA ECU or is sending theirs to Dutch-land then let me know!

From what I remember when I was looking at buying the car, it had an Astra ECU fitted as the OEM one was faulty. He never got the codes wiped as it did little to the performance. Sounds like the ECU is searching for the non existent TC?

Yeah settled on th fact its an Astra one now. As i like things to be right id ideally like to sort it. Phoned Vauxhall to see if the could put a VX220 "map" on it. I may aswell of been speaking spanish to a 2 year old child.

I use a laptop and a galetto 1260 usb cable , but I think tech2 setup can do the same.

I think tech2 setup can do the same.

A proper dealership TECH2 can, a knockoff bit of software that replicates some of the functionality can't.
