Peter / Mark Verboom use the spi028 cable to do the z22se ecu , although looks a bit out of date , parallel and serial cable. Most stuff now uses USB

You could ask Dutch Peter if he could load the map and match the transponders and chassis number for you?
You've got the cost over and back for postage and he might charge something for loading the map, can't imagine it'd be much.
I'd say you could get him to get rid of the limiter and OEM flat spot while he's at it
CS charged Stewy a £200+ didn't they?

So, phoned Courteneys and they want £99 to put the ECU back to factory settings with the vehicles current VIN. If they can do it a local Vauxhall should be able to also shouldnt they?! They say they have never done it so dont think they can but i bet if they let me use their machine then i could figure it out haha!
Any other way of doing this cheaper?

If you're being tight see what Peter says, worst case it's maybe £20 each way to send the ECU + what he'll charge
My preference would be to send it to him than CS as I'd imagine he'll be a more flexible with the extra requests

I would imagine that if you used peter it would be the full Dutch software with key to access software especially if you want to take flat spot and maybe up the rpm But on the plus side if you went for the full version you can do what ever you want without paying more out on the future, If you want peter to put standard map on it might be a different story, you can always askIf you're being tight see what Peter says, worst case it's maybe £20 each way to send the ECU + what he'll charge My preference would be to send it to him than CS as I'd imagine he'll be a more flexible with the extra requests

There must be people out there that have a cable to read and write the GMPT-e15 ecu ? We know the SPI 028 works, but its old tech and probably just uses the same protocol as the modern stuff.

Original 2.2 Opel Speedster 2.2 16V 147.0 Delco GMPT E15 Hw 12202073 BZ Sw 12210633 , bin file
Has anyone ever used this file to confirm it works?
As when I check it via a HEX editor it doesn't contain anything like the std vectra ecu map .Bin file displays.
I'm saving the .Bin file from MPPS v16 software.
I found the Vectra ECU pin code from the HEX output and this works to allow me access to the replacement ECU I'm running, the above file has nothing at the same HEX offsets, its just blank, which makes me think this is a dead file.
I'm going to save a std VX NA .Bin file from a local owner and compare the two files before I rewrite my Vectra ECU.
Any thoughts or comments ?
