Thanks for posting those thumbsup

DI'd you do the power run straight after sitting in a layby building temps up or did you go for a little drive before power run to cool things ?? Also which CC pump did you use ?

I did find that if you do power runs straight after sitting with car running you get some heat from engine affecting the manifold and Tmap but if you drive with 3-4000 rpm the temps drop dramatically You can try this your self by doing a log file

Ah, yeah I did the run straight after sitting in a lay by. Maybe ill give it another go. My flow seems to be good (I've got the other pump that most people seem to useBosch something or rather. The one that jg sells). Think ill do a log see if it shows anything different). Did 6 power runs Andre car didn't seem to loose any power (had been driving it for bout an hour before I did them). Thanks

Dependant on ignition setting the car will start to retard at around 60-70 degrees Or add fuel Or both

I thought 57 was hardcoded.

How do you mean depending on ignition?

Dependant on how much advance has already been added ie the more you add the more it will/can retard I didn't no 57 was hard coded it's just what I guessed from expierience

The Germans took a crack at an educated guess with the DIN70020 correction, saying 3% powerloss for every 10 degrees. (over 57)

That way a 300bhp stage system becomes stage II power when hitting 95 degrees.

That calculation did not go well here when i mentioned it previously, but it does feel that way when i put my foot down on warm days.

Has there been any logging from people on track I haven't been able to do any logging on track but have noticed the biggest power loss @ 70 degrees according to scangauge but I'm sure you can appreciate that I don't spend hardly anytime looking at scangauge Which makes sense according to above statement I have not noticed IAT above 70 degrees dosent mean it hasent been higher

I hit 70isch max, but have not done a really hot day yet.

Others have reported up to 95, but many of those were harrops.

If you have a tmap, it´s simple obd value to read temp in the manifold, so I just broadcast it to my phone via torque, having it in constant sight.

So did two runs and saved logs.Temps still seem high and were increasing (even with steady motorway driving).

Would someone that knows more than me mind taking a look if i email the files? Have sent them to Peter too, although guessing it may be a little whle before I hear from him..

Thanks

Chris

Have you got pro alloy rad? Have you got dual pass mod? What is the flow rate of your charge cooler pump ?

To test if your Tmap sensor is reading correctly do a log with the ignition on but car not running and do a log of this and see how close the Tmap is reading to air temp outside
They should be quite close
Also get a hair dryer and heat the area of the manifold with Tmap and raise the temp of it just to check it increases and if you have a surface temp reader check the temps compared with what Tmap is reading,
Do this with ignition on engine off

Thanks very much Chris. Yes to dual pass. Yes to pro alloy. Will need to check what the flow rate is. I have the 2.5 TMAP. Will give your suggestions ago tomorrow morning and see how I get on. Thanks again, you sir are a gent!! Chris

Also can you draw out how you plumbed your Charge cooler system with the dual pass in it
