Are there any VX 2.2 race cars for sale? Looking for a proper race car with the lot done to chassis, suspension and safety. Not a car just upgraded for track days, even if being still registered and road legal is a big + One that has done one or two seasons and is sorted out would be perfect. Some nicks, scuffs and dents are ok. Let me know what turn key offers you've got before I'll start chipping away on my own car...

Didn't give people long to respond OP. And to be honest it is less likely than finding a mint VXR220. I very much doubt 5'oc would be interested , given he is racing it again this year. Cliffie may be, but I imagine there would have to be some major financial arm twisting to do. But ultimately why not just get a cheap standard car and build it to spec?

I've no idea.... It's untidy. It's a real SLAG! Not for polishing! CAT 'B' but totally undamaged chassis/suspension/crash box etc. Stolen recovered from nearly new insurance pay out then found. Panel damage only. panels were replaced & has remained track only since then. ONE careful owner, only 16k miles from new (but a bit like trigger's broom!) Vocky'd M62 engine (the full monty) ready for bolting on a Harrop currently 306bhp Saab sump, polished Saab head LSD + 4.17 rebuilt box + spare newly rebuilt 4.17 box + spare standard box Pro alloy CC + Pro alloy large tank Oil cooler Electric water pumps Nitron 46's Full rollcage 4pots /cl6 17/17" front & rear wheels with v70's + a spare set of 17/16" set Harnesses/ Lightweight CF seats (narrow) not for fat arses! Stripped to 812 Kgs with 3/4 tank of fuel (no driver) Spare good rear clam Spare front clam with good wing section to repair Spare door Spare bonnet Various Aero aides Various other spares.... Lots of scratches, marks & dings (& none from shopping trollies) It's totally lush on track, could be much better with some TLC. It's noisy, dirty & has a hideous colour scheme. BJ A-Max trailer available with full frame & cover or without. I've no idea what it's worth....

I know a full race spec German VX220/Speedster project for sale, running a 2.0 BTCC engine & SADEV  sequential box... :ninja:

But that will be some serious money I think.

I for fun put all parts needed for an all in race spec VX, excluding engine updates, in the shopping cart at Elise shop just to see where it would end...

That is a serious commitment on a whole other level. Is it light blue, think I may recognize the car.

Mine could be for sale for the right price but it would need to be serious money. PM with what you have to spend and we can see if we are in the same ball park.

Mine is a double Time Attack Championship winning car running 350 BHP and is ready to go.

No, it still is mostly carbon black, but this one will be serious money with that engine & box. If he can get buyers for it...

Looks the business though (lots of wide carbon panels) and I still hope the molds come available for those coupe parts:

Have been looking around some more and learned that there are a few VX's racing successfullu out there, I just have to find one that is for sale!

I've put my current 2.2 NA up for sale to free-up the garage space, and potentially some funds to get a realy well built one.

Now given the weight/power ratio a SC or even a turbo isn't such a bad idea after all. Either would actually fit better in class then an NA, and are likely to be better equiped.

So, any new objects out there on the horizon?
