Oh I also didn’t mention that with the v6 subframe this has now allowed me to move the engine far enough back to get a perfectly straight run for the driveshafts  As I remember things I’ve forgot to put in I’ll add them up

What a great read!  I have got some plans in my head and would love to do something similar...  when you read this and see how much time, effort and money it takes...  far more than man maths ever takes in to account you realise you have to be quite mad to go down this route - the sensible option is to just save up for the Exige V6!  Thats not the point though is it!!

Keep up the good work!

Yh my man maths was well off! I always thought VX bits were expensive but V6 parts seem to just be £500 each! Takes the p*ss! If it wasn’t for junks I’d be fcuked! It is by far the cheaper way to go by just buying a V6, but where would the fun be in that. This way I’ll get a nice turbod version which will have more power than the high spec ones. Plus it should be lighter as the engine is lighter and I don’t have air con etc. But should handle and drive exactly like one as its full V6 suspension etc

Lordy lore, incredible tenacity!

Next time I read some fukwit on here casually talking about "chucking a V6 or V8" in his chassis I'll be sure to point him to this thread.

Longer + wider wheel base should suit the extra power, I hope you clamp that bodywork down hard cos 600 horsies will easily take the car up to 200 MPH (assuming you have the revs/gearing for it).

Yh it’s a proper fcuk on! If I knew then what I know now I’d just buy one! Probably a lot cheaper and def a lot easier! Well going of gear ratios and rev limit if I hit the limit in 6th (unlikely) it’ll be doing 224mph

Some determination and skill you have to take on not just a different engine but suspension and bodywork . Very cool

If you have to lengthen the wishbones then are the arbs going to fit?

I haven’t checked the front yet but rear def doesn’t fit. I’m gathering things together to put up for sale which will include the ARBs because it’s probably better to sell as a set.

Br, Per

The exige is 37mm either side wider at the rear and 30mm wider either side in the front. The hub carriers are completely different to the VX

Haven’t got any pics of mine as haven’t got round to taking them but can do this weekend. Here’s the pic from Deroure

Very.

From memory, the front is around 35mm, and the rear around 22mm. Bear in mind the front uses a blade end for adjustment, so can go from relatively mild to very stiff.

I’ll measure for this weekend. They’re virtually mint as well as have only done around 500 miles
