I couldn't see a thread about this program so I thought I'd start one. I have the program downloaded and have just received a holder: http://www.amazon.co...aw_bottom_links Also a GPS receiver: http://www.expansys....gps-160-252679/ Need to find a obd thing so I cam get throttle data. What do people recommend for that? Then need to get it all working before the next trackday.

Think there's a list of supported hardware on his forum. It's still pretty new in the world of Android, so most of it is probably iPhone friendly (read; expensive) sh*t and the last time I looked, he was a bit disparaging about the cheapo bluetooth ELM327 OBD boxes. That said, I used both of my bluetooth OBD readers without problem with HLT.

On the bright side, I'm pretty sure the Dual GPS is recommended/supported. thumbsup

I'm not too sure. Captain vines uses both things but not sure if they are both bluetooth or one is wifi? Connected the duel to the phone, had to use a gps helper app that's recommended and hares lap timer now recognises it. Hoping to get a trackday in before Zandvoort to test all this but depends when I get my car back.

What video editing software do people use? Just one for cutting them into bits really. And ideally free.

Yes.

Even YouTurd has a basic editing/trimming available after upload but better to do it beforehand.

Ordered a 64gb memory card for the phone as I suddenly realised I will need it. Although if I record in the highest setting it uses 1gb a minute so I won't be using that I don't think.

Just figured out I don't need the gps helper app so that's gone. Bought a very cheap elm327 bluetooth reader but not too sure if tat will work at all. We'll see. Need a trackday to try it all on now.

Mounted the phone holder on the rear screen and realised it's designed for the sloped front screen and not the vertical rear one. So I had to cut the arm that the swivel ball is attached too off and glue/plastic weld it back on straight.

Quick test and it looks like this.

I think I need to tilt it down a touch.

Does this work on Android these day?

I changed from an iphone 4s to a 5s, and Harrys Lap Timer just doesn't work as well - shaky camera, and the zoom seems like the lens is wider angle.

The OBD data will always be limited to 1 Hz refresh rate (its a VX / ecu limit).

This is with a Dual XPS150 external GPS, and a cheap-ish wifi OBD sender, and an iphone 4s mounted direct to the harness bar:

I'll post up a sample of the output from the national with the iphone 5S, but the video is just rubbish.
