Why not get a local exhaust fabricator to cut out the single restriction and replace it with a 3" section? You will probably find the box interior is also a restriction, it more or less has to be if it is to do it's job, unless it is a straight through perforated design.

I've gone from a 2.5" milltek to a 3" 2bular. 2bular gets my vote out if the 3" systems

Think I read on cs that the 2.5 is good up to 270 bhp as it has good back pressure for turbo but need the 3" to be getting around 300bhp+ or stage 4

Seem miltek 2.5 full system make 290's 2bluar system full 3 inch made approx another 10bhp. Dave Hardwick full custom 3 inch system the best in my opinion followed by the other 2 quality systems. Dave's custom fit and noise and tailpipe options along with been cheaper is a winner for me DG

My tullet was fitted and recommended by CS. Fitted very nice, look nice, sounds not too loud. Option to repack it and showed good HP gains. Only downside is the price.

Recent map from CS. They got 280bhp and 344 ft lbs.  Loads of torque! Just down on power, which they said was down to a restiction in my current 3'' exhaust. They did recommend Tullett, just wanted to know whether there was any another options

That was my issue. Tullett has got good reviews, but having just bought everything to take it up to stage 4 already I wasnt budgeting for another exhaust as well!

Since adding the 3" exhaust and klassen inlet manifold the power delivery is a lot smoother, not sure if this is down to the exhaust, mani or both

You can widen your inlet pipe to the turbo and put a double panel air filter for a similar smoothness gain as well.

just come back from MMG on weds for stage 4 fettling. i have a miltek 2.5 and other "budget" mods. not the biggest air intake pipe, stage 3 intercooler running standard piping and produced this power figure on liams laptop dyno

and as aimy may know on a different dyno the figure can be higher.

it all depends how high you want to go i suppose.and how much you want to spend...

Alot of this is subjective as you can tell. Hardly anyone has actually owned a VX with a 3" Tullett and then a 2bular and then a custom made system (a'la DH).

Pick depending on your budget/availability/favourite name. Enjoy.
