I was talking to a chap at Trax who has a 100k+ RX7 build for TA 2015.

Anyway his friend has a 550bhp VX220 built to a similar budget byt he sounds of it, also competing in TA next year. I gather he is also handy behind the wheel.

So this can be considered something of a rumour, but we may have to readjust our superlative VX220 ideas.

The RX7 looks pretty tasty... and you can see a Coral Blue VX in the background of this video:

They seem to have a facebook page. There was a post about the some custom work being done by pro-alloy for it.

Not umar no. Dave/Sicknote:- A well spoken gent of perhaps late forties.

(I know Umar quite well now. Hes a real character! - Blew his RX7 up as usual at Silverstone and borrowed one off a friend)

Kermit2 is going in Pro 2wd. He said they expect to win. I said expect to run into a rather fast Exige if its back out!

In other TA news, I met Mr Toaster.

TA sound like they may be chopping back on Aero for Club classes which might affect the 'Pikes Peak' style elise.

It looked quite well finished, and certainly drew a crowd.

Quite right, too. Stupidly massive aero in Club classes is ridiculous and so far outside what their stated aims are about "road cars" that I can't believe there's even been any question about it. Good riddance to it.

This. I enquired about doing a OHW in TA at Brands Hatch and was told I would have to have standard headlights in (I dont have any) as "TA is aimed at road going cars" even though I have front lights albeit LED lamps mounted either side of the front grille and yet they allow massive aero. I think they have allowed big aero before because it looks good in the eyes of their target audience.

Big aero is set to stay on Pro classes. They had to fight the MSA over it.

Still, the Toasterlise will breathe a sigh of relief once all that sh!t gets stripped off it and might actually crack 120mph once it's CdA has been halved.

Me too, although it'd be a shame for the toaster mobile to pare back after the effort that's been put in.  It'd be nice to see it at least have a try with its current attire.

Is the circa £100k budget just getting glossed over here? Starting with a bare garage and buying every single component brand new still leaves plenty of budget there!
