I would like to sort it before I go away really. Have a feeling I have a long trip coming up and would rather not have to leave it until we are into winter fully (for obvious reasons)

Two things, not sure I'd want to buy a car with a gearbox that's been launched to 60mph in only 3.5 seconds And I thought you wanted to go racing with this?

price drop already , in less than a week?

But still priced at significantly more than he paid for it ten weeks ago. http://www.vx220.org...ed-low-mileage/

Agree. It's all a bit odd matey. Your previous posts were full of enthusiasm before and after you bought one. Then you had a run on track and suddenly it's up for sale for more than you paid for it. This thread probably won't help your chances of selling :(

That also doesn't take into consideration all the work I have put into it fixing niggly bits, rattles etc. Also the 2 day paint correction.

A sale in based on what its worth, not what the seller paid for it. I got a good deal, I travelled for the car and will not be taking a loss on it (or I will just keep it as a track car!)

So if you could please get back to the facts of this sale.. Its well priced, its potentially the cleanest/best VX for sale at the moment and thats that.

Buyers remorse chaps; that's what a car like this can create. People don't realise how uncompromising it actually is. Or its funked and he wants rid! As regards the long trip, military or prison? :)

Its not that at all, I love the car. If it wasn't worth so much and I could warrant keeping it as a weekend car I would. I had an old golf so I could use this for just weekends but I hated the golf so ended up just using the VX when I was home (which was a nightmare with my work)

I want something just as cool but bigger! Something I can use everyday but still have fun with.

Plus my fiancé refuses to get in so I don't even get to take it out most the time haha :)

as for the trip, none of the above. Offshore :( Poland!

I would personally not have used photos of it on track and then describe it as "showroom condition" in the thread title...

Just for the record I would prefer a track car to a road car only I find tracked ones are better maintained

This was also mentioned else where, IMO you would be naive to believe that a VX220/Lotus has not been tracked. As Batman said, you know with a tracked car it has been looked after/checked over more than a road car thats just jumped into to go to the shops daily :)

Appreciate the input but its truthful, the car has done 2 evening track days (about 20 minutes a piece) and the condition it 10x that of 99% of the VX's I have seen advertised or in person :)

PRICE DROP as I have found my new car now.

£12995!

Its threads like this that still make me think For Sale ads should be just that and not a regular thread.

it's a website, ads should be ads, you wanna comment on the ad, do it in the forum section

But the fact is you can comment because it's a forum, not an ad site. If the rules were different I'd agree.
