No, it'll just work. Any lingering ABS light should go out after 100m.

it's basically just the top bit, the computer just unscrews and away you go no ice mode..How does the module look like you need to change to make it 4 channel?

Only if you're a consistant ABS activator.. Had one before. Never activated once.. From a psychological / confidence POV, it's useful to know you've got a reliable ABS system. It's a bit like the traction control debate... Some love it. Some, see it as an unnecessary and expensive addition.Best upgrade on the VX bar none

Doesn't stop the hard pedal though !
It did that for me, but i was over 5% deviation from oem wheel and tyre size.

I thought coming from a 15/16 setup it stoped hard peddle, so 16/17 ratio wise should work ok. I'm getting it to get rid of the ABS light fed up with it after 10 years..It did that for me, but i was over 5% deviation from oem wheel and tyre size.Doesn't stop the hard pedal though !

It's factory calibrated for S2 Elise/Exiges that run 16"/17" wheels and tyres. S1's had no ABS are the only ones that ran on 15"/16" wheels.

I get the hard pedal very very occasionally still but it's effectively no longer a problem as far as I'm concerned. What you will never have again is the stupid ice mode or whatever we like to call it, where if it detects the merest hint of a ripple in the road the ABS has a brain fart. It also seems to be calibrated to kick in much later, so you can almost stand on the pedal before the ABS even thinks about intervening. In other words, it works like a proper car now.

The hard pedal seem partly related to the (or so we were told) exhaustion of the brake booster reservoir on certain engine configurations / scenarios - I occasionally got it after quick transition from accel to brake on my old SC, even with the 4-ABS controller..
Its actually unrelated to the controller, so I'm just confusing matters

on most setups with the TRW abs, normally the intake manifold is just a short section of hose to the servo , it might work better with another one way valve at the front.

It was pushed to within an inch of it and my life at Spa and the brakes were the best bit.
I couldn't have peddled it any faster.
