What about one of those very short, expensive shifting mechanisms that a European Speedster uses..? It appeared to give  shift speed not a millions miles away from a sequential (in reality it probably isnt, but appeared very quick..)

If I can remember the link I'll post it up

Darren's car was very quick at Snet. It's such a shame the engine let go. Hope he get's it back & running again soon.

Poop, bad to hear this. Faulty injector/fueling perhaps, as aren't those engines meant to be pretty tough?

Had it ran out Steve? Wi very good and reliable if setup right, def needs failsafe / good warning on whatever the application. On the tfsi you can tweak the oem ecu to change map when it runs out Bmw have used wi on the m4 to good effect DG

Love the timing of this. Are you sure you hadn't heard after it happened in front of a track full of VX's?????

It was an unproven/unknown engine. It will be back on track better than ever before the years out.

Nope personal situation means I don't get on here much at all in any depth and or speak to anyone socially even close friends atm. I have my eye on a few car builds / conversions and loving my vag stuff and putting into non vag cars have a genuine interest in this is one Feel for Daz, not nice when stuff does not work Was just seeing how it was going, crap timing on my behalf 😞 DG Sure it will get sorted

Yes it holed a piston, prob because we didn't bother to put any water meth in it,not too bothered as I've now got some fancy pistons and a new block to rebuild it with (it ran standard Pistons befor) and we will be on with it soon The only other problem that showed itself was the gearshift is woefully slow once the car gets hot, down to the cables I am sure, and I think a bigger cc rad is needed It will return
