Hi All, delighted to say that I am the proud owner of an awesome VX NA in yellow (not a LY unfortunately). Following this forum for a while and was given some brilliant advice. Walked away from a CAT car and ended up with a very clean one which I had checked over by Craig at Murray Lotus in Edinburgh (again thanks to VX220.org.uk pointing me in the right direction!) Really enjoying the forum and car so far and despite being a total spanner-spanner I'm even thinking of blanking the ERG valve myself .... with the instructions from this site. Thanks for the help. Looking forward to some drier weather and hopefully meeting up with some other local (to Glasgowish) VX owners! thumbsup! Mike

Car was in Inverness., previous owner...great guy, drove it down and we met at Murray Lotus in Edinburgh...pre-purchase check and I bought it!

I'm even thinking of blanking the ERG valve myself .... with the instructions from this site.

Haha, just noticed that I refer to the ERG valve (cf EGR valve) - #DoesNotBodeWell

Thanks all! Taking it easy but really enjoying the VX and trying to get out in it each dry day! Overhauled the bonnet release yesterday. Sorted a wee starting issue too. Removed blanked and added the EGR cheater today - (not bad considering my only previous mechanical experience was changing a tyre!!!) this is fun! ....and the car is driving great! Looking forward to see what it can do in the summer ... Mike
