I've been contemplating, looking and thinking about one for a while. I want a Turbo or a Supercharged example which should be suffice for Sunday blatting. I'd love either a modified one or a good clean standard example - Kind of the two extremes.

Alternatively, I'm open minded to a supercharged NA although I have been adverse to this due to potential reliability issues although the more I read, the more I'm convinced it should be fine if done properly.

I don't mind Cat D if it has been repaired properly and the damage wasn't extensive.

Whatever the car, it needs to be incredibly well documented and well cherished.

Cheers

Andy

No longer needed. Now bought myself a very nice turbo after many hours of research and several viewings :)

Yep! Really pleased with it.  The timing just happened to work well. I've viewed a couple, walked away from 2 and finally found the right one after going over it in detail and performing all the usual checks.

All I need to do now is find some time to enjoy the thing! :)

I suppose he did get a second opinion from the forum as I had a look over the car

Not been on here for a while since selling my VXT in 2010 for an Aston and a Caterham. Brought back a lot of good memories looking over the VXT, fabulous car

Superb... Not seen you post in ages. Nice to see things are still heading in the right direction. An Aston and a Caterham is a superb two car garage. What did the OP buy in the end?

I'm guessing the red VXT from the 'I think I may be selling my VX today' thread.

Aston was sold in August 2014,after 4.5yrs of pure pleasure, nothing like the VX but what a car, many happy memories.

The Caterham Superlight I had was then p/x a month later for a Gulf liveried Caterham R500 Duratec which is just like sticking wet fingers in an electrical socket :o

This now sits beside my old man XF V6DS ;)

The OP bought a VX220 ;)

Maybe he'll let me have a shot but then again he might refuse as it could be too quick for an old bloke
