TBH I'd get them done black and put the red rim on with rim tape. That way when you get bored of it you can just peel it off.

Yes I spoke to the refurb company today and they said about the tape Have you used it Chris? I thought it will just rub off or look tacky? But the fact you mentioned it means it might be a common idea??

Not used it personally. but I have seen many that went for it and were happy with the finish. The advantage is if you change your mind you simply peel it off rather than needing to get them re-sprayed again.
