How about the interior tub? I've read WD40 and Magic sponges but will the above be not too abrasive?

Just buy a carpet set, best thing I ever did to the interior :)
I'm with you on this one Jules thumbsup Best thing I've ever fitted. No shitty looking tub

guys whilst we are on this subject, what's the best way to clean/rejuvenate the zinc galvanised coating on the rear subframe?

I've just done this very thing this week. Used loads of rust remover, a wire brush, and a file to clean it up then Krud Kutter cleaner and etcher and sprayed the fecker with an aluminum colour silver rattle can. Looks great :)

A mate of mine painted his S1 chassis. And it did look good. I have just done a quick google search and found this method, http://m.wikihow.com...alvanized-Steel Dishwasher tablets and vinegar it is then???????

In reality though, once you get it clean you can protect it from getting anywhere near as bad and secondly it takes an extra 15mins when you do a big clean every 6 months to keep it looking clean.

To summarise your logic: Clean it, so it makes it easier to clean next time! LOL

Yup! As I say far too much time on our hands, we aren't all making a serious kick ass weapon Nev.

I think there's a happy medium to be had.  Whilst cleaning it seems to be a bit controversial it could help prevent corrosion at junctions such as the subframe.  The last thing we want is road salt hanging around at places like this.  For this reason I clean mine once a year and give it a good going over with ACF50.  I treat this as part of its annual service.  It may be OTT but I don't want it falling apart and it doesn't take long.
