Dont know if this is a help or not but i spoke to the guy in gloucester about a year ago about the black one and he was the same with me.

Refused blank to send any more pictures and when i asked if it had had any paint he smirked down the phone and condescendingly asked "did you just ask that"

He's either a full blown C**t or some sort of con man. Either way it didn't add up to me and i wasn't going to go all the way to gloucester to deal with a twat.

In The end i bought a red one local that was very tidy.

It does seem hard to find a nice one for the right money but they do pop up.

the only colour I did not want was black when I got my first, coming from a black car it stays clean for about 5 seconds then you start to see all the dust and sh*t on it...   I bought a black one.   I saw it, all glass like reflections and decided yes

... and how did that end, pray tell?  :D

Ouch!

Although I can only add to this. Started off not really wanting a silver one, viewed one to learn about them, it was immaculate, so I bought it.

Toe link died 6 months later and the car decided to get to know a lamp post a little intimately, backwards.

Don't buy the colour you originally set out to avoid! Bad things happen.

I bought a silver '03 n/a 5 months ago and realised it needed a new clam and crashbox. At the time o thought I had been done and sulked a lot. The more I look the more I realise because mine is not a cat car, and now it has a new crashbox and OEM clam it is going to be one of the nicer n/a's out there... I think (oh and its not really n/a with a s/c :))

Pm sent turbo. Question to the floor - if I end up with a mechanically decent car with less than perfect paint (bubbles/blisters etc) what are my options? Guessing a full respray is the only real solution... Not really up for wrapping it etc. Could anyone shed any light on a ballpark figure for a respray as I've never looked into one before, would the fibreglass make it any easier/harder? Cheers!

Depends how quickly you want it done and how good you want the respray 1000-4000 depending on the above
