Mine came with the car. Not sure what it's supposed to stand for, so must be worth loads.

P800 OSS.

Any ideas ?

Having followed you a lot on the hoon Zuber, I puzzled for hours over what it could mean. It finally came to me on the last day........ "Poos".

I think cherished plates are a bit Marmite. I like them and I've always had them but wouldn't pay over the odds for one. In my mind they're not an 'investment' its like a modification where you rarely see your money back. In terms of value its whatever someone is prepared to pay! Suppose that's why they refer them to personalised plates... Its personal preference?!

I've got VX 4251. Got it cheap off a friend, in a 'why not' moment. I quite like it, although the number does not represent anything, its just a different looking plate.

The plate on mine came from a cat d car. Frustratingly HPI confuse the plate's history with that of the car now wearing it - damn near put me off buying my VX.

So I should try swapping to another private plate then :)

Mine had a private plate for the first couple weeks while the old plates were being transferred. I would have liked to have kept it but I wasn't prepared to pay an extra £500, especially sine it only really worked on the VX. VX52FLY.

I bought P17 OOM, off dvla for £250 years back and relocated the letters so it looked like P1 ZOOM with a strategically placed screwhead. Never really into plates but thought maybe I could flog it for more later. When the Impreza P1 came out I thought it was perfect opportunity, there's even a specific P1 club - advertised but no interest so it went with the car (Barchetta) when I sold it. Still, it looked good on the car and got some positive comments which is more than I expected.

[IMHO]. The registration plate, is the one thing that is, visually, enforced upon my ownership experience that i have no control over. Obviously!, the MOT, insurance, driving license etc.. are also enforced but they run as a metal ruler hidden beneath the surface, adding a measured undercoat of sense and strength to the experience, the plates on the other-hand are, to me, a compulsory visual stamp of a grimace upon my own, otherwise perfect smiling, personal Mona Lisa. Do i have designs to designate the direction of the paint in the pallet of my ownership performance freely? To have full rights to portray my personal picture as an uncontrolled whole?...too right i do. It's the song of the VX designers, the rhythm of the Lotus builders but i want the lyrics of the stage performance to run totally to the beat of my own choice... ..The VX is, after all, a work of art and her smile will! be a mirror of mine, of my own and not that of the DVLA vehicle regulators  [/IMHO].

..icey :)

Yeah, maybe I should've kept it on retention. I wasn't actually looking for that plate at first but thought I'd see if I could get a MOO related plate and it came up with OOM. I thought the P1 7OOM was a pretty good one as the cheapest way of getting one at the time.

Do they still have pages of them listed in the back of car mags I wonder? Pages of nonsense combinations with dreamland prices.

I've got VX51 GAV on the vx , came with it but it's probably worth something to somebody. I also have S4 EUO on the Audi , works both as my name ( Stevo ) and on the car , Audi S4.

I thought about buying B15 ONT but then decided against it and now it's gone.  I quite like FX51 FST anyway :) so was lucky really
