Think they'll do similar discounts on Quantum dampers? :D

I'd be interested :)

What are the current thoughts on pads - RS14's @ £254.74 or CL RC6's @ £262.53??

Check prices with eliseshop as I found pads cheaper with them, must be exchange rate in our favour.

They were prices from Elise-shop thumbsup . The CL pads are ~£50 cheaper than Eliseparts.

I will probably go with the CL6 with RBF600 fluid.

Another job added to the list......

In my experience, RS14 work better from cold and just as well when up to temperature, plus they don't wreck wheels like the cl6's. On the flip side the cl6 might last longer (I only used a worn set of cl6's as a temporary measure).

I've never used grooved discs before - with these on I get 'datta datta' type noises driving along sometimes, and clatter noises at lower speeds gently applying brakes. I'm pretty sure its just the pads rattling caused by the grooves. (CL RC5+). I have searched and some noise seems associated with grooved discs but I assumed this would be a different noise under heavy use.

Anyway, is what I have normal?

Got to use them for the first time in anger at Goodwood the other day and can report that they are an improvement. No brake fade and no overheating, so one very satisfied customer. Used with RS14's.

goes without saying, check wheel bolts for tightness when swapping to a different brake setup

First time out with my EP discs I managed to boil the fluid (rs14 pads). To be fair, I had cheap /old fluid. Brake coolers now being fitted.

Mine made no difference to anything tbh. Had brand new RS14s and brand new RBF600 fluid though so would expect as much. Hopefully made the corners lighter though :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got pad transfer with my old disks, which gave terrible vibration. Had none of that the other day.
