thanks guys for your input!

smiley you seem to have answered the majority of it for me.

how come the turbos don't have genuine stacks? are they physically different in any way? since they are both 4 cylinders they should still read the revs correctly with my saab conversion.

it looks to me that a turbo one sounds like the better option its just trying to find one that's going to be the problem that's not smashed to bits and is at the right price... as stated mileage is irrelevant and engine condition to tbh....

I think breaking new ground could be a test of my skills....

do the turbo ears actually feed into the engine bay?

as saab engines have a oil cooler and I would have to find somewhere to put it and one option would be to route it by one of the turbo ears, but that might take a lot of space for where the intercooler goes?

what goes in the passenger side turbo ear anything?

Stack - non stack in turbo cheaper? Ears - yes. One feeds air over the inter cooler and the other goes in the direction of the engine air intake.

thanks for the info guys,

the one I am working on has a cone filter in replacement for the air box so I wasn't sure where it went.

Do you have a budget in mind? Also, is it something you're looking to buy now or will there be a bit of a wait?

Tbh I'm thinking of around the 5k mark and it's a future project so its not something I'm looking for right now.... Unless a deal comes up that I can't refuse

That red one just went for £5200. Never seen a complete car in good condition go for that price.

Have a look over in the project section, there are several guys running or in the process of fitting b204's. Most will be more than happy to discuss it with you.

Those are B207's. B204's are a whole different kettle of heavy fish.

Yes you are quite right! Never paid enough attention to the thread.

Would of presumed they'd have been at least slightly similar though. Will keep a look out for a project thread if you go for it.

No, that's what happens with an eBay auction with no reserve or low start price...... No way would I do that, you set it at minimum u want to take and/or put a reserve on it, or a price with best offer, imo........ Although the negative comments on here wouldn't help cos potential buyers might be watching on here too, just as you are mate

I would define lay say prices are not coming down. As above that happens on an auction the prices have pretty much been steadily rising over the last couple of years. Tbh if your looking. For a cheap one your best bet will be in the winter the prices do tend to fall a little bit.
