My EP one is making bloody aweful noises.  I assume it's the bushes needing reaming.  If your bushes are sized right I assume this will stop it so can I buy just the bushes?

There are a couple of reasons the EP ones do that (not to say that they aren't very good).

 

They are made basically of solid plastic, that gives a great solid mount but it gives no margin for the tolerance between the bush and bar, if you had a tolerance you would get play. So the bushes are made on a very tight tolerance, meaning that sometimes the bush holds the bar tight and just pushes all the grease out when you tighten the clamp up. No too much of an issue on a race car that is prepped between outings, but not so helpful for road/trackday cars.

 

I decided to go for a different material, working with Powerflex to get them made, they are about 80% stiffer than standard but because they have some gice, they will take up the tolerance between the bush and bar. They will also have a knurled centre to retain grease with.
