Has anyone tried Ferodo DS2500 pads? Operating temperature from 20 - 500 degrees Celsius see which is one of the highest temperatures I've seen whilst still working well from cold.

If you want top end for road and track go Carbon Lorraine, Padgets, or Perfomance friction

Standard fit in the 4 pot front ap upgrade. I find them good when cold and don't squeal. But if I was starting over pagid rs14 front and rs15 rear was my best brake set up.

I use ds2500 front (4 pots) and rear (standard) and love them.

They work well cold and really well with a bit of heat.

I never get brake fade, no matter how long i go out on track for.

I've had ds2500 on a 1250kg CTR and they were excellent pads for fast road/track.

Can't beat Pagid 29's though.  Can we get the 29's for the stock brakes?

Sounds promising, better than M1144 then? If everyone has 4 pots I'm assuming you can't get them in 2 pot size. What discs do you use?

What are the Pagid ones like cold? How about wear?

Apparently from the DS2500 catalogue:

Stock front part number: FCP1562H

Rear:  FCP1560H

Yeah I have noticed they're expensive. Could do a track day for that money.

Just looking at the specs for the DS2500 - they don't appear to be any better than the Mintex 1155 pads I already have.

I was looking at the Pagids - again the RS42 (blues) also don't appear to be better - have I got this right?

oh noes, don't say that, the OP will cry

FWIW (based on my ignore function doing its job fantastically but I want to help clarify for others), these "fun" pads that work really well when HOT, still work as well as or BETTER than OEM when cold.... Sure they wont be as good as their peak performance, but they will still stop the fcuking car from stone cold.

e.g. I ran PFB97's for a while and even in winter they would stop perfectly well at the first application and then would get better and better there after.

He maybe will if he realises the DS2500 etc. are technically road illegal anyway on the stock calipers due to ECE R90
