One of my rear shocks needs replacing and the others aren't far behind by the looks of it.

No intention of track days so either oem or something similar. Am i right in thinking i can look out for 111r and exile shocks too?

turbo and NA dampers are the same or quite similar, it's the springs which are different at the rear due to the extra weight of a tubby

Yes you can. The Toyota Elise I think is ever so slightly stiffer than a VX but the difference is minimal.
