Have a look at this stuff Chris. I've got it in my garage and it's good to jack onto, mop up spills, it's cheap for the size of coverage and using a bit of carpet double sided tape so far after 8 months or so it's not moved at all.
I screwed an aluminium carpet edging strip into the concrete at the entrance to clamp it down.
It's not soft for kneeling or laying on but I've got some foam tiles for that.
Before I had 2 coats of garage floor paint but the tyres pulled it up as they cooled.

Not a garage and nowhere near as fancy pants as some of the previous, but here's where mine is kept... Just finished building it last week and seems water tight so far 
also done it so it backs onto the shed so it feels like an all in one type thing!

It's costing me £4.2k to have the pillar removed, fit the steel, and a Hormann insulated sectional door with electrics
