And tonight's little 2hr time-waster... rad fan manual override switch

It's a ground triggered relay, with the relay itself up the front and the signal (ground) wire running the full length of the car via the cente console. Wire is blue with a grey stripe. Basically just need to manually ground the wire to override the sensor.

Google says people have a intercepted the wire in the center console area, but as that loom ascends to immediately behind the dash anyway, I just attacked the bundle as it appears through the grommet from the footwell area.

Stripped it, found it (deep in the middle of the bundle), spliced a separate ground wire into it. Wrapped it all back up with loom tape... "I was never here"...

As my switch panel are all illuminated toggles, I couldn't just run the signal wire via a simple switch to earth. Is therefore running via a NO relay to ground.

Relay on the left/top is the W2A intercooler fan controller. Relay on the right/bottom is the manual rad fan override controller.

Can't recall from the rest of you thread, but are you fitting a large boot-mounted A2A intercooler and ducting?

Oh, and is that a turbo engine mount? Its not the standard NA part..

Mount is a Europa S mount for the M32 gearbox Running a 6" PWR W2A barrel cooler (this will sit on the panel on top of the fuel tank, new firewall enclosing it). The heat exchanger I'm going to try keeping in the back at first (right side turbo ear). Save on running pipes up to the front of the car. Everything's in place though to run a front mount heat exchanger if the one in the ear turns out not to work.

I meant the black mount on the engine - it looks like a steel version from a turbo engine, rather than the alloy one. So the M32 gearbox mounts mean you cannot use the original NA engine side mount? Just curious.

The orientation of the MAF has me thinking you were using the boot space - I presume its to be rotated 180 to run along the engine side.

Ahh, that mount. Yeah that's also a Europa S mount. I could've used the alloy NA one as well, but it matches the other mount, and makes a nice set. It's a touch heavier, but hey... OCD symmetry wins over a few 100gr I am using the boot space but only for my airfilter/airborne, not the intercooler side of the circuit. The cat/dumppipe/exhaust also takes away the boot

Jeeze, so much effort and care going into this project, I'd be scared to drive it hard in case I "bumped" it.
