Don't want to hijack the thread but the best phrase to describe our rebuild is "Slowly but surely"
As the Vx doesn't live at our house and due to work etc we only get a couple of hours on saturday/sundays to work on it but we're on the rebuild stage now, all the bits have been purchased, head skimmed as it seems like it has bowed slightly causing the pressure to force its way back in to the water channels. Cylinder Bores have been re-honed, Mahle LEH pistons fitted with FCP rods are in, we replaced all the valve seals and rebuilt the head this weekend.
I haven't got loads of pictures and as its been such a slow process I haven't typed any of it up to make a decent project thread but once its done I may create a project thread hopefully atleast as a bit of an up to date "How to:" guide for anyone looking to DIY rebuild an LET engine as older threads tend to lose their images or the info on them is no longer valid, etc
