if you just want a 4.17 box then ebay is the place to look - AQ or SG codes

 

a couple of secondhand un-rebuilt boxes on there at the moment, obviously condition unknown

What's the difference between AQ and SG codes? Thought the only option for us (Z22SE'ers anyway) was the SG.

SG is the earlier Zaf z22se 4.17 box and the AQ is the later version.

 

I cannot remember what the difference is, but certainly the gearing is the same on both boxes.

 

There is a third option from a vec C, but it is for the dual mass flywheel therefore needs the bellhousing swapping over, which is the XY

the vxT might be better with a DZ - 3.95 zafira z20let GSI box, standard vxT is a 3.63 (standard NA is a 3.95)

I found an ad with an F23 AW from a Zafira Z20LER but I cannot find much info on the AW box. Do you have any info? Is it also 3.95 FD?

It's not a 417 it's a 3.95 I believe

I'm NOT sure, but a zafira with Z20LER engine uses a 6 speed box (m32)? The LER engine is also used in a Lotus Europa. = 6 speed M32

That would be good if it's correct I thought the only 3.95 for the Z20LET was the DZ box but maybe the AW box works as well. If a box for Z20LER fits the Z20LET of course...
