Bit of a thread resurrection rather than start a new one..
I want to pick out the lettering (in white) on my freshly refurbed calipers on my Scooby.. I see reference to Hammerite on several of the 'painting calipers' threads..
So should use the bog standard 'Smooth metal' (http://www.screwfix....ite-250ml/29367) or go for their radiator paint that is obviously designed to withstand (at least some) heat (http://www.diy.com/d...=recs&rrec=true)?
TIA

Crikey! Welcome back Adam! Up for a Dog House meet??!
Shame Halfrauds don't do that in white, as it's only to pick out the 'Subaru' lettering on red calipers.. Doesn't look like I'll need any kind of specialist paint at all for those bits then - happy days!

I've done loads of calipers with normal primer, paint and lacquer and never had an issue, I'm talking big AMG calipers etc and even stopping 500bhp an 1.5 tonne of car they've never bubbled or blistered.
May have been unlucky or had a dodgy batch of paint.
