Went to the national and thoroughly enjoyed it however decided to decat my sc 2 days before and was told it was very loud on the outside just wondered if anyone had any videos following me round plate is GR53 BBB or anyone else noticed it and would like to comment I'm. Considering putting the cat back on to quieten it down even though it will restrict it a little lol thanks ad Oh forgot to mention it's a standard turbo back box that I'm. Currently running

I'll be interested to hear what it sounds like. I've a tubby back box here and was thinking of a decat when it came to SCing in the winter.

Haha Yeh was told you couldnt hear the charger for the exhaust lol but on test it only reached 89db but it seems to get what I can only describe as very 'raspy' at high revs

Think it was a learner driver with driving training, they got up to speed after a while and looked to be having fun on track

don't remember any vx's being particularly loud. Nothing compared to the f type anyway stick a go pro to the back and go for a drive

The official gopro mount is very good at staying where it should.

No idea about the knock-offs.

I've a turbo backbox, with standard manifold and decat on S/C..

Its fine at idle, almost quiet... fine at half throttle...

Full throttle, loud! Not overly loud, but a nice loud.

Plus, it has quite a nice 'tone' to it, in my opinion anyway..

Oh, and when warm pops, bangs and the occasional flame :)

I had a turbo cat 'fitted' into my decat system as was told that in Holland they are running sc cars at 350 bhp with the turbo cat so it shouldnt perhaps  make much difference being in other than reducing the noise (and no flames any more). When mine was decatted it was horrific.

Martin S

ps Even with a cat I was told mine was noisy compared with others!

330isch.

Mostly as we wanted a decent steel cat, and to skint to pay for the HJS one. It's keeping up so far.

What pipe is everyone uses of to decay? Larini or just cutting standard one out? I like the idea of a replaceable bolt in cat section for MOT time.

That sounds like a good option of using a turbo cat hopefully going to get out over the weekend and fit the go pro to the rear to discover for myself and then decide what to do about it

My VSE was tested at 107db last weekend at Goodwood and I wasn't able to play :( I'm on the look out for something a bit more sensible now.

Could have saved you the trip Jon_r Goodwood is hard to pas and a Larini never stood a chance. Wish I'd known might have been able to help as live nearby and have db reducers here that might have fitted.
