Went to buy a new car for the wife today What a disaster We decided on. Seat Ibiza Can I test drive a car with a 1.2 tfsi engine and a car with 1.0 3 cylinder engine please ?? What could go wrong ?

Yes for 15 minutes Even started to drive home

After test driving the 1.2 tfsi engine that is what I wanted even before test driving the 1.0 But sales man convinced me to try the 1.0 so took one out after coming back I thought the 1.0 3 cylinder engine was brilliant Both cheap road tax Eco no oval running So then dealer gave us a few options A 1.2 i tech seat Ibiza nearly 9k 1 year old And a brand new 1.0 Ibiza for 9720 I thought be silly not to go for a new one considering the test drive I just had

Even got the colour we wanted 5 door and got to pic a plate 👍👍

Actual car looked like it had just come of the transporter Dealer asked do you want to take it today Thought brilliant PX car sorted not bad price Yeah why not So he said will take 2-3 hours to get car ready Ok we will go out for some lunch and come back 👍

Ok came back a bit early and car was nearly ready Paid for the car Sorted paper work out Etc etc Sorted PX out

CHeckef the new car Happy family with new car Loaded car up after a long day Started to drive home Oh, that's when things went wrong

Pulled off I didntbreally think much And thought the car didn't feel as smooth as the previous 1.0 litre car But carried on 2 miles down the road and still following the same route as the test drives I hit the bypass Put foot to the ground and no power Strange Built speed up slowly to 70 mph and car was reving to 4000 rpm where as previous test driven cars where less than 3000 rpm Got to next round about and turned to wife and said this is not the same engine and gearbox that we test drove So went back to the dealer

Indicated to salesman that Deffo is not the engine I test drove It isn't hill

So I opened the bonnet to find the 3 cylinder 1.0 mi engine See me hill1.0 litre car

I insisted it wasent and expressed my unhappiness With swear words He asked me to calm down so I did and he would seeing there was a issue

While he went to speak to the manager I took it up on my self to look at the engine in the car I test drove with the 1.0 litre 3 cylinder engine only to find it was a 4 cylinder engine which looked like it was forced induction

The dealer returned so I showed him the two engines that were obviously different But he insisted it was the 1.0 litre but would heck with the chassis number

Anyway one hour later it appereared I had test driven a 1.2 tfsi engine and a 1.4 So now I owned a brand new 1.0 seat Ibiza which I Deffo did not want

So just got home refunded in full and back in my original car and have wasted a full day of my life Must say kids were very well behaved considering

Next step is to shame stone acre seat in Wrexham And contact seat explaining there staff need to be trained in what there selling But I did get a apology for there mistake

Jesus, what a monumental fcuk up on the dealers behalf. I have a nice yellow Leon Fr diesel you can have...
