This is creeping up on us...better make some travel arrangements! Anyone know what they're doing yet?

undecided about taking an extended trip back after ledenon

now we have the funeral dates and everything for that all organised at least Dad and I can think about not having to rush back to the UK.

breakdown cover , the more I look , I notice exclusions about +10 years old , or modified for rally/racing use etc , or the repatriation taking weeks

Nice that your dad can come with you under the circumstances thumbsup I've got a personal (not car specific) policy with the RAC and have looked carefully for those exclusions but can't find anything. Trackdays are not racing or rallying so you are covered, but there are stories on the internet of patrols refusing to help track cars...but they're wrong to do so. Hope I don't need to put them to the test!

I have just spoken to ETA and I am covered for journey to and from circuits.

Also remember at the national that one VX had trouble at the Anglesey hotel.

We have booked Air Bnb this year doing our own thing, but the rate LoT get is very good so best to speak to Claude and book with him.

Just booked ETA personal european breakdown cover for 1 year , from Spa onwards , £140 , for peace of mind for Dad

I think/hope (!) some of the hotels are included in the frolic package. Ibis Dijon and Ibis Orange I think...

You'll be at the Ibis Orange Centre Echangeur 23rd, 24th & 25th Aug. We'll see you there 24th/25th for Ledenon 👍, staying a few nights in the French Alps on the way down and a few nights Lake Geneva on the way back. Hope you don't get the heavy rain at Dijon which always seems to make an appearance for LOT days there, they had to close the circuit for 2 hours back in 2014 😉

We are staying in Evian les Bains for 2 nights (also on the French side) on the way back plus an overnight stop at Chalons en Champagne

will probably book monday 21st , 06-00 dunkirk ( £40.50 ) , will arrive 09-00 local time, so plenty time to head down to Dijon via Reims and D396.

then think about 26th , 27th , and return home on 28th  ( Croix LoT day ?)

or stay longer , Italy / Austria are amazing

Flew home on Saturday via Southampton from Lyon.

Robin gave Tom a lift home and drove the whole lot in one hit via the chunnel and got back to Edinburgh at 3am on Sunday morning!

Still not heard if they are going to repatriate my car, might have to go back and get it. Anyone in the South of France want to buy a VXT? :tumble:
