Just a list of who has what system or backbox from Jim and ideally any pictures you have to help identify variants

Looking at getting a new design made in discussion with Jim

1. siztenboots - original prototype VXT, 7x18 silencer, 3" bore

Jim mentioned he had sent a 8" version you were trying out for fitment , do you have any further details?

Only things I can find from you are old from 2011

i did open up the box early this year year and found that the only reason the wadding was staying in was due to the perforated tube was wrapped in steel wool

when i removed the steel wool the wadding quickly came out

so wire wool went back in its been welded back up by me and im not a welder but seems to be ok, i did also lose one of the hanging brackets which left a tear in the first bend which has also been welded up by me,

i do really need to have my back box  re-skinned

im still wondering if the wadding will now stay in with the water injection now working

Its not without its problems but its fits but melts the wheel arches but i over came this by wrapping the 180 bends which seems to solve the issue also i had to remove the long drive shaft guard to get it to fit there, it is very very close to the subframe,

The only way you can improve on the 8" can is an oval back box But Jim doesn't have the machinery to do this and the company he subs it out to don't either. But he knows all this obviously

Did we not have that discussion recently on a company that provides those oval ones with strong baffles in them?

Just can't remember the name.

I keep having to move my vx out of the way, so technically I have driven it three weeks in a row, although the mileage does not seem to have changed

Not spoke to Jim for some time, really nice guy 😊 Dave H longer back box on the high powered turbo is very civilised and couple of years with no ill effect Surprised a lot more people have not acquired in of his systems especially with extra quiet option and quality of work DG

Using the round dbx series. (positioned as "moderate")

http://www.flowmaste...street-mufflers

Their "70 Series Big Block II Mufflers" is baffeled, and positioned as "mild-stock"

I just measured up an oem, which just external casing size is 68 x 28 cm.

The 70 Series Big Block II Mufflers = 55 x 25.5cm

That does not leave much room for the bend and end tips. (All their oval series are about 25cm width, making it difficult for bend and tips.)

Don't have dimensions of mine. 3 inch bore. Wouldn't bother with  resonant designs though, they all drone. I'd also pick a company that are easier to deal with than 2bular
