Thought I would start a thread on my 2.4 build etc
I blame Richard for selling his 1900 Harrop I was more than happy wth the power of my car ,but when he put it up for sale I couldn't help myself 😕
So it begins I have bought a new 2.4 crank and a internal trigger wheel and a ATI Damper of Richard so just need to get 2.4 block , cams ,pistons ,Rods , head gasket ,arp head bolts ,injectors so better get buying .
So here is a pic of the difrence between the 1320 and 1900

Its a bloody monster lol

A quick Question on the 1320 charger there is a pipe coming out the side for the brake servo pipe ,these just push into the casing, on the 1900  i have holes for pipes but no pipes where can i get these push in pipes from and what is the technical name for them ?

Just seen a photo Why is there so many holes?? Get vocky to machine you up some bungs and just use the Saab cam one How does the bypass valve work? Have to drill the intake and plumb it in that way?

Yours had a few more ponies than mine at zandvoort Probably best to use artics power run to over lap When will it be up and running ? And have you any plans with water/meth injection But we could also over lay mine I feel you want

Are there aftermarket piston and rods? Or do you need some custom stuff?

Are there any other 550+ HP supercharged VXes in Euroland or will this be a world first ?

Best of luck with the project, loads of work and some worry too (at this level of tune!), but just 1 drive in it will be spine tingly thrilling. :)

I suspect the greater flow of this supercharger will bring the benefits of lower IATs at low/mid power (by that I mean 250 to 400 HP). You'll probably only need a handful of PSI to make 400 HP which will barely need charge cooling.

I think you'd be wise to consider augmenting the engine + oil cooling though (based on my experience anyway), using thicker oil, more water in the circuits and larger/extra rads (particularly the oil sub-system).

GL.
