Agree. Have a Walker for a number of years and still love the way you steer it by changing the speed of the independent wheels with the handles. Expensive but top quality.Google (Walker mower) then choke on the cost. Great though.

Sorry for the late response Goose, forgot I stumbled into this room a while back.
No major issues, just belts needed changing and did a service myself so must be easy. Depends on how much abuse you give it really. I got mine used and saved a bundle on a new one.

Dont buy British for mowers. I had a Mountfield ride on... garbage. Utter shite. The only good thing about it was the hole to keep my beer up right when mowing. My dad had a Westwood... also crap.
I took some convincing, but i know some commercial groundskeepers and they all swear by Weibang mowers. A professional Chinese manufactured brand, more expensive than Honda which made the decision even harder... but i love it, its the best mower ever, and i recon i cut my 1 acre garden in 20% less time than i did on the ride on mower.

If it is just for mowing your lawn - get a Husqvarna Automower !
Have had mine for some five years now (and another one before that) and it's the best investment I've ever made.
They range from 600m2 up to 5000m2

Good thought but not sure that would cut the mustard. Would be nice though! If it is just for mowing your lawn - get a Husqvarna Automower ! Have had mine for some five years now (and another one before that) and it's the best investment I've ever made. They range from 600m2 up to 5000m2

Why would it not ?
They manage a whole lot more than people seem to think
If you have slopes there are other wheels for instance.
I would strongly suggest you look into it some more before letting the idea go. The satisfaction when you see it mowing a perfect lawn (WAY better than any non automated mower) with a beer in your hand knowing it cost less than all other options and the time it took to get it done you were in the garage is absolutely priceless.

It may work. Hilly, wet in parts and about 2 acres, mole hills and two lakes to cope with. Do able? Why would it not ? They manage a whole lot more than people seem to think

Think about all the time it would free up for things like swan hunting and poor people-baiting.
How you've changed, Goose.

I'd say, without knowing your property, that
hills are ok (unless they are to steep),
depends on how wet it gets (make "islands" where it is to wet to avoid those places),
2 acres no problem (just buy a bigger one or let it mow for longer periods of time),
mole hills depends on how big they get,
lakes are no problem (you just make "islands" out of them when laying the cable)
Sorry for being anoying but I know the automower is the best thing that has happened to lawn owners since Betty White (born before sliced bread)
