I couldn't find a how to for this so I've started one for others who are struggling.

First off get the car up on ramps. This makes access much easier, then remove the rear undertray. Once you've done this you need to remove the bolts shown...

Before doing this make sure you have supported the engine using a jack with a block of wood. Then make an attempt to remove the rear engine mount. At this stage you will realise there is one more bolt holding it on. This one is impossible to remove. Fact.

Now it is time to replace the 3 bolts you have so far removed, and in a fit of desperation/rage, take a knife to the inserts. Like so...

Now you can bodge them in like a proper ape. I suppose you could use some for of adhesive to keep them in but I found the following to be most effective...

Then remove the jack and whack the undertray back on. Bob's yer uncle, Fanny's yer Auntie. I hope this is useful to some of you and good luck

Last bolt I found OK to remove, but a right b'std to refit. Did my rear one a good few years ago thinking it was a simple job and regretted it for a couple of hours under the car trying to reseat the bolts. Worth it once done though, makes the gear engagement feel much tighter. Like the rage version too.

Allow the engine to drop slightly and you will have a bit more play putting the bolts in and wood / jack under the mount will help to push back into place. Come with some copper slip usually and use this also 😏 Bolts will have thread lock on also and can make removing a bit more difficult DG

Good job. I would have used some hammers and a grinder as well if I'd done it. Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk

Pmsl There is a bolt through the middle of them that holds the engine in and you needed plastic zip ties too. Brilliant.

Have you read the guide!?!?!? He split them in two to slide them in. The whole in the middle doesn't exist anymore and they are wedged in the side. Duh. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I get he left the mount in and fitted the insert with it all in place......I completely fail to see why the hell you would do that. Remove the mount and fit the thing properly. It's not difficult. Had it out 3 times in the last 4 weeks.

You must have tiny hands.

Normal sized hands, fail to see what's difficult but each to their own. Seems a shame to cut a brand new pu bush in half. For anyone thinking of fitting engine mount inserts this is not the way to do it!!!!!

Wind your neck back in HH, at the end of the day the part wasn't fitted correctly. Fair play for trying but this guide shouldn't be copied imo. Apologies if this reply offends anyone
