Not sure why the insert was cut again?
As Duncan said above, you need plenty lube (oooohh) on both the inside of the insert, and on the outside where it contacts the subframe mount. Compress it by hand, and wedge it in, then tap it with your Timmy, then a screw driver to podger (technical term) into alignment with the gearbox bolt holes. Then one the holes are aligned, put in the bolts, then use the jack to jack the engine up into its original place. Easier after you've done a few..
