Hi,
I know their have been a couple of lease topics in the past but all a little old, I'm thinking about leasing something to use as my daily driver, around £200 a month does anyone have any experience?
Thanks
Sarah

What's the deposit? My top leasing tips: Chase the deal not the car Beware inflated deposits - amortise costs to get like for like monthliesI lease (PCP) a Suzuki Swift Sport. Its a hoot as a daily and on twisty B roads. Costs me just over £200 per month over 42 months and with a very reasonable balloon payment of about £4k at the end. That's on 12,000 miles a year.

Find me a new one for £11k.So about 14 over 3.5yrs? You know a new one is about 11k?

My last 3 cars have been new and each time I have done the figures buying rather than leasing worked out much cheaper each time for me. If you are able to get a low interest bank loan 3% and a good discount 18% + through drive the deal etc.

250 miles on the clock:
I appreciate that's not new but the argument stands - is that first 250 miles worth 3k?

I've had a few lease cars and I agree with the above, but there are so many variables. Leasing only works if you get a really good offer.

Its a fair point Foxy. But the vehicle I secured had £2k of options added to it that aren't on this vehicle. In addition, my deal was done 18 months ago. Since then Suzuki has launched a new version of the Swift with the Sport model due to arrive early next year. That will have affected prices of the 'old' model as some buyers are likely now to want to wait for the new one. I was happy with the deal I got.250 miles on the clock: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201702172398639?onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&advertising-location=at_cars&radius=1500&make=SUZUKI&aggregatedTrim=Sport&postcode=ws136rd&model=SWIFT&sort=price-asc&page=1 I appreciate that's not new but the argument stands - is that first 250 miles worth 3k?

Year, like I said there are so many variables.
If you're happy with the deal that's all that counts, but it wasn't a good deal by any measure (and with the benefit of hindsight).

PCP on M140i was cheaper than leasing and there are some very good deals at the moment on M140i (£349 down and £349 a month)
