, any recommendations? Paddy

I think you need to start by defining what you want to use the car for.

Hi all, new here... .mine can feel a little twitchy (it's a standard turbo aside Gaz shocks). Has anyone got any setup advice for the shocks. A friend mentioned taking some advice on his kit car and he said it transformed the car... any advice would be appreciated. I'm a total novice with suspension. Also rear bushes sound knackered, any recommendations? There are a cheaper brand on flea bay called Flo flex? Buy cheap buy twice? Anyone got any experience with these... Paddy

First step. Remove Gaz shocks.

Surely the first step would be to replace the knackered bushes?!

40% track 60% road. Weekend use only. So is it better to just get standard bushes rather than the poly ones? Are the Gaz shocks that bad? I thought they were an upgrade?!

Yes, standard bushes.

Gaz aren't the best but they're probably better than the old billies - depends how many miles they've done.

Recommended to fit a poly insert to front and/or rear engine mounts too.

...and a gearbox breather...

...etc...

...ad infinitum...

Gaz shocks have a history of needing rebuilds so it's worth inspecting them to check for leaks or corrosion. Personally I'd take it to get the suspension geometry checked and set and if it still feels twitchy start replacing things.
