Low budget film full of holes and that gives no idea of the real horror that went on there.
At the start of the film the Germans (who you never see) are just 100m from the beach and never get closer.
You never see more than a few thousand men on the very neat beach (as opposed to the 400000 there were on a continually bombed beach). There are no thousands of vehicles on the beach or bomb holes or thousands of dead and you get no sense of the horror in any way that they all suffered dreading each stuka raid (they show 3 stukas each on there own coming in once!)
You see three enemy aircraft (all of whom are shot down by the three spitfires (with endless bullets) the film spends a lot of time on.
Various scenes, which are repeated from different angles in a disjointed way throughout the film (to fill time and save money).
Its at best a 2 out of 5).
It was rated 12 so sadly this is how many will now think of Dunkirk, a crap film that apparently Harry from that boy band is in.
Just had to write this somewhere as annoyed.
