Hi Guys, looking for some guidance. Pictures are on my photo bucket account. Its the red one,
The VX is going up for sale :0( you may have seen one of my posts, im in the middle of a new build project and I need a cash injection. Im in no mad rush to sell, really looking for excuses not to sell. Im likely to run out of funds early March and would need it gone by then. I bought the car with a loan, ideally like to get the best price to help me cover the finance interest that I have accumulated. Seems a waste to have it sit there doing nothing. No doubt as soon as I finish this build I will be remortgaging to fund a another vx, and would love the option to buy it back. It’s my 3rd vx in under 2 years ;0) im hooked and by no means my last.
What do you think its worth, ive seen high power vx220's selling for 28k+ plus in Europe. ive attached a few pics. 48k on the clock, the full build thread can be viewed on the forum.
-Wheels are mint, carbon turbo ear.Really nice extended carbon rear spoiler. Loads of carbon fibre interior, Pods gauges, cup holder.
- I've only taken it out 4 times since buying it, just don’t have the time due to building a new house, and also only had it insured on a day insure policy.
Murders anything on the road. Lotus evora S didn’t stand and chance, failed miserably... the look on his face :0), S3, M3 and even a Porsche turbo couldn’t keep up. Really is the fastest thing I have ever experienced. And such an easy drive for 470bhp, holds the road well, there more power available I capped it at 470 as it was plenty for me, the engine has been built to last and can take more power. One word King of the Road without a doubt, with looks that will kill. My 2nd trip the car got so many positives comments, its loud and proud, sorry if this sounds like a sales ad, but I really love this car to bits. Been a short love affair for me.
Heres Richards old ad. The cost to build this was above 20k with taking the 46k donor car or any of the research development, labour and extra’s such as the carbon/wheels etc etc .
cost just spiraled as with all projects like this! I have between 28-30k in this car so for someone wanting serious power without all the hard work then this is it!

Improvements points
Body work has a few marks blemishes around it and the front is quite stone chipped etc, and a couple of cracks, not a single sign of any bubbling anywhere to be seen. Which is really good and surprising to see. it seems this car has escaped it. Judging by the condition the Cars spent most of it life in a garage. Really looks nice.
I lost the accelerator pedal twice in my ownership error message P1271 , never came back, never felt the need to investigate further.
Front windscreen fitted a little off centre, hence the hardtop has a gap, again never bothered me, and really didn’t have the time to readjust the screen. Common issues when replacing the windscreens.

I bought a race logic traction control unit for it, just haven’t had the chance to fit it. Will supply it with the car.
