Hi mate- I've tightened them and it's slightly better but I've ordered one replacement knuckle to do the bottom one which seems the culprit. The top one looked like it would be a tight squeeze to reach the bolts without removing the dashboard?! I'll let you know what its like when I've for the top one pal... Use tippex or a paint pen to mark the splines when you take it off. Then put the mark on the new one before refitting. It'll help with lining up.

 

Don't spin the steering wheel with the uj disconnected as you'll damage the horn wiring.

Good tip mark, its a real pita to get it lined back up otherwise.

Well it's had the mot and tightening the two knuckles must have worked as it passed with NO advisories! I changed a number plate bulb before it went. I managed to break the number plate bulb holder plastics as the screws were rusted but I've ordered a couple of led ones to replace them. The new knuckle had arrived so I'll stick it on tomorrow anyhow to be sure. Thanks for all the help. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

Good one, those knuckles are a bit of a weak point on the car. :(
