Now were cooking - I have just given an old laptop a new lease of life

 

Just need a couple of pieces to complete the jigsaw

when the airbag squib plugs are melted like that its usually because they have activated and deployed your airbag at some point.

You will prob need to change your squib :)

Yep deffo had an airbag go off at some point. Would expect that your error code will be something like "drivers airbag deployed" that means. New airbag ecu New clock spring (bit under the wheel) New drivers squib (bit on steering wheel) Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

What would concern me is the state of the crash box under the front clam. Does the op know where the car was bought from as a cat D ? Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

I can trace the car back to a lotus dealer in Southport - but not had any joy speaking to them

Date:14/09/2008 Category:D - Vehicle damaged but repairable - the insurer decided not to repair

 
 
Would be very interested in getting my hands on a more in depth report -  if possible

I only ask because the airbags usually only go off if it's 5 degrees either side of a head on. May have had a new crash box though. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

The clock Spring / squib are the same thing :) Do you mean the airbag itself? Pair of seat belts with pre tensionerS aswell
